When is payment due?
Room and Board Reservations: Reservations are made on a first-come basis. To save your spot, please make a room and board payment as soon as possible.
Drift Boat Option: A separate payment for your chosen drift boat option will be due by October 20, 2025 (two weeks before the trip).
Lodging Options:
🏠 Rainbow Lodge – Enchanted Hideaway, 1593 Navajo Dam Rd, Blanco, NM 87419
We’ve reserved enough cozy rooms here to accommodate up to 12 anglers—perfect for those who enjoy the comfort of a lodge setting.
⛺ Cottonwood and Pine Campgrounds – Navajo Lake State Park
For those bringing campers or tents, these scenic campsites come with hookups. A daily campsite fee applies, and reservations can be made directly through New Mexico State Parks.
🚐 Dry Camping is also available (no hookups) in the parking lot of Enchanted Hideaway—a great option for the more self-sufficient traveler.
Fishing Options: You can choose to wade on your own at no cost, join other Club members to wade, or hop in a drift boat with a guide. We’ll have multiple boats going out each day, with two anglers per boat. If there’s more interest, we can always request additional boats. The cost is $560 per boat per day (that’s $280 per angler), plus a gratuity of about 20% (~$60 per angler) for the guides.
Meals: We’ll enjoy “family-style” group meals together at the main cabin—4 breakfasts, 4 suppers, and 3 packed lunches (guides will provide your lunch on fishing days). Mealtime chores—like setting up, cooking, serving, and cleanup—will be shared so everyone can pitch in.
If you have any dietary needs or preferences, just let us know so we can plan accordingly. Be sure to bring along your own favorite snacks and beverages. And if you have any health considerations, we should be aware of, please mention them when you register.

The Fishing Access Permit is valid for only one calendar day, i.e. may not be used for the afternoon of one day and the morning of the next day.
-
The landowner retains the right to refuse entrance to any person for just cause.
-
The Mesilla Valley Flyfishers, Inc., and the landowner are not responsible for any injuries to the angler or damage to his/her property when he/she accepts and uses the Fishing Access Permit.
-
All Fishermen must have a valid New Mexico fishing license, agree to abide by the New Mexico Department of Game & Fish regulations, the landowners requests, and the rules listed in the Mesilla Valley Flyfishers, Inc. Fishing Plan.
-
Parking will be in designated parking areas only. Parking signs are located at each of the designated parking areas. Club installed access gates along the river should be closed and chained after use. Parking tags should be displayed on the dashboard of vehicles.

Fishermen will carry out all of their own trash from the ranch and, in the interest of good landowner relations, remove trash left by others.
-
No camping is allowed on the property without prior permission of the Ranch Manager.
-
Violation of these rules may result in the loss of fishing privileges.
Catch and Release Tips
Note: The following tips are adapted from the NM Dept. of Game & Fish fishing proclamation.
-
Land the fish quickly; don't play it to exhaustion.
-
Use a landing net whenever possible.
-
Keep the fish in the water.
-
Do not squeeze or grab any part of the fish. Wet your hands first if you must handle the fish.
-
Gently remove the hook.
-
If the hook is deeply swallowed, cut the leader. A fish's body fluids will dissolve the hook in days.
-
Let a tired fish recover. Hold it by the tail in the water with one hand and use the other hand to gently support it from below and just behind the head until it swims away.
-
Never toss a fish back into the water.
